Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Corporation of Dar es Salaam (DAWASCO) is responsible of providing Water and Sewerage services to the city of Dar es Salaam and part of Coastal Region (Kibaha and Bagamoyo).
DAWASCO water through two major water sources which are Surface water and under ground water, for surface water DAWASCO has three water treatment plants which are Lower Ruvu, Upper Ruvu and Mtoni treatment plant. The underground water consist of a number of boreholes where mostly located at Temeke Municipal Council. The Water produced serves almost 75% of the Dar es Salaam city and part of coastal region.

Requirements for connecting to DAWASCO services
1. Letter from the ward council
2. Application letter addressed to DAWASCO branch Office
3. Two Passport size pictures
Then visit the nearest DAWASCO office to process your application.

Water conservation Tips
1. Check all faucets, pipes and toilets for leaks.
2. Install water saving showerheads and ultra-low-flush toilets.
3. Take shorter showers.
4. Never use your toilet as a wastebasket.
5. Turn off the water while brushing your teeth or shaving.
